Question
What do AI data buyers ask when you apply?
On this page
- What should I have ready before applying?
- How do the ten application routes compare?
- Which differences matter to the owner?
- Does getting through the form mean my data qualifies?
- How was this comparison researched?
AI data applications usually begin with company and contact details. Some ask about staff, systems and retained history; others begin with only an email address or a general inquiry. Our October 10, 2026 inspection of ten public entry routes found several distinct approaches. The comparison below shows the questions visible at entry and how far each route was inspected.
What should I have ready before applying?
Have your company name, website, work email, country, headcount and a short description of the business ready. Then check the oldest records still available in each system. A company founded ten years ago may have only a few months of chat, so company age and retained history can give very different answers.
- Company age: when the business started operating.
- Retained history: how far back the records still accessible today go, system by system.
- Headcount: follow the form’s definition. Full-time employees, total staff and everyone with a mailbox are different counts.
- Systems: name the tools you actually use, then record any gaps or migrations in a data inventory.
You can use the retention and export check to organize that inventory before choosing a provider.
How do the ten application routes compare?
The table records public entry forms, rather than completed applications. We entered no company details, created no provider accounts and submitted no applications. Where only the opening step was visible, later questions remain outside this inspection.

Which differences matter to the owner?
The question wording changes what you need to check. Replay asks for years of operation; Avelence’s opening step asks for years of records available. Polyshares’ public intake describes a systems and company profile followed by account creation and a portal. Mercor’s general partner entry begins with work email, so that first step alone does not establish a company-data application or eligibility decision. These differences come from the forms linked above.
A short entry form does not mean the eventual review is short. Read the provider’s profile for its stated review and payment process, and compare the eventual scope, price and terms in how offers work.
Does getting through the form mean my data qualifies?
Submitting an entry form starts a conversation. It does not establish that the provider wants your records or will make an offer. Compare the provider’s published criteria with what your company has kept; does my company’s data qualify? puts those criteria side by side.
How was this comparison researched?
We inspected the providers’ public pages and rendered forms on October 10, 2026. Each row links to the original entry route and states the inspected scope. Account-gated and unvisited steps are not inferred from a provider’s marketing page. Providers are listed alphabetically using the same fields; Telegraph Lab’s commercial affiliation is identified. Send changed form details through the corrections route.
